My new Christmas shirt

A dull cloudy morning. My Christmas lights are on and so pretty.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Coffee...poppyseed bagels and my morning paper. SNOW is on the way it will be time to bake some more cookies.

My sister came to visit and took me to get a Christmas tree. So my tree is up and the lights are on it now to decorate it today.

Took some time off from quilting to do some sewing and knitting.

SUNSHINE this AM but oh so COLD.

I have been busy..making dishcloths.

Tuesday Dec 1st 2009

Sunshine this AM still no snow in my part of Maine. Temps are getting cooler so winter weather cannot be far behind.

I got up and made cookies. Then had a nice meting of Methodist Women. It was a cookie and gift exchange. Lots of fun.

Good Morning from Maine

We have a little rain today and NO SNOW yet. Just bare ground. Today I will be off with the Methodist women. Tomorrow we have our Christmas cookie & gift exchange. Thursday another meeting. Nice busy week.

A nice sunny day here in Maine. I am going to be doing some quilting. What a joy.

Sunshine and 60's in November

A beautiful day in Maine. A couple pictures of my birthday flowers.

Today I am 80 years old.....

Happy and healthy. Have wonderful family and friends. The only sad thing is I miss my husband today.

I have beautiful flowers from my son alan and Mike made me pizza yesterday. He has also ordered the latest Mitch Albom book for me. My friend Beth sent me a pop-up book of "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" I will treasure that forever.

Good Wednesday Morning

I have been busy with eye appointments. Next Wed. I will have laser EYE surgery. Just a little worried. My sister is coming up to get me and will take me to Waterville for the surgery. We will have a nice day together.

Then the following Sunday I will be 80 years old. I have voted by mail already. I hope to go to a quilt show later next week. Have a happy day....

A little foggy this AM. May get some wild weather this weekend. 1954 September there was a hurricane Carol that caused some problems in the Brunswick,Maine area.

This weekend very high water and rip currants. Best to stay out of the water.

A busy weekend

Here we are on Monday morning. Saturday I went to Augusta to see the Maine Quilts 2009 show.

This quilt was made by a classmate of mine. Peggy White of MA. A hand quilted work of art.

Next Sunday will be our 60th class reunion of the Brunswick high class of 49. So I will be going back down to my hometown of Topsham.

Our new computer

It is so much fun. I still do not know how something so thin works. Today we have RAIN and I will quilt

Thursday afternoon

I have our new computer and it is wonderful ...love the iMac.

My son moved everything from the other computer to this one so very easy. Really surprised me.

I am surprised how much faster it is.........! !

WE HAVE SUNSHINE and warmth

After many cloudy and cool days we have sunshine and it is warmer. We have been 10-20 degrees below normal. Today 70's and some places close to 80. So Today I will enjoy the sunshine and be happy.

Today -NO RAIN-NO FOG waiting for SUNSHINE.

Yesterday the sun came out and the temp reached 76. Sheer happiness after so many dreary days in Maine. Now we start a new mont and hopeful a new weather pattern.

I have humming birds at the feeder but they are too fast for me to get a photo.

I love watching them. Happy HOLIDAY Weekend.

Today I will be working on this quilt. We have a dry gray day with windy conditions. Temps only in the 60's . Tis weekend it should finally get WARM.

My iris plants

My iris plants are so pretty. I got the bulbs at a church fair. The lady told me if they did not bloom she would give me some more. I love iris plants.
