This is the quilt I made for my niece Lori Groom (Goldsmith). She died in a house fire in Scottsdale, AZ.
It is a sad time for us.

Dear Alice, I am so sorry to read about your loss...what a sad time it must be for you and your family. I hope as your family gathers together you are able to find some comfort in sharing good thoughts and sweet memories. Please know I will say a prayer for you and your family. With deepest sympathy, Beth

I'm so sorry about your niece! How old was she? Did the quilt survive the fire or is this a picture from before? I'm glad you're having a "heatwave" too...I needed one! Our good friend died yesterday in her sleep and I am still in shock. She was my age but had health problems. The circle of life can surprise you sometimes.

I am a friend of Lori's and just learned of her death--we had worked at St Joes together. We had kept in touch off and on.I am so saddened by this. I have been told she was going thru some rough times and I so wish I could have helped her. I had not talked to her for a month or so and had left messages for her. I am so sorry for the family, esp her boys.
